The Department of Arabic Language and Its Teaching Methods was established in 1977 and has been one of the largest departments in the Faculty of Humanities and Educational Sciences since its inception. It currently includes 10 faculty members holding the ranks of Professor, Associate Professor, and Assistant Professor, specializing in various fields of Arabic language studies.

The department has developed by offering a variety of minor specializations that meet labor market needs, such as Education, Hebrew Language, and Teaching Arabic to Non-Native Speakers, in addition to the main specialization in Arabic Language.

The department awards Bachelor’s, Master’s, and Doctoral degrees in Arabic Language and emphasizes encouraging students to conduct research in various Arabic sciences, literature, and teaching methods, contributing to the advancement of Arabic culture in carefully selected specialized fields.
